Vice President - Acoustic Design

James has seen it all as an acoustic design professional with nearly 20 years of experience in the field. His love of music and his quest for better sound goes back even further, with childhood memories of dangling a cassette mic over a Fisher Price record player to make mixtapes while pretending to be a radio DJ. He studied jazz guitar at university in the 1980s and spent the 1990s touring and recording as a guitarist. That era solidified his transition into studio engineering, where his interest in sound took a more technical turn. In the 2000s, James moved into the field of acoustics, which has remained the central focus of his career ever since. He has designed tens of thousands of rooms, from recording studios to home theaters or listening rooms, performance venues, and many more. In his current role, he leads the GIK Acoustics Design Team.
