Materials
Camira Cara Fabrics

GIK is excited to use the Camira Cara fabric line standard in all our products. The Camira fabric will look familiar to fans of Guilford of Maine fabrics, similar to their FR701 line but with different color options. With a richer aesthetic and tactile feel and wider range of available colors compared to our previous standard offerings, Camira Cara allows every product to look as good as it performs.

Sustainability

GIK Acoustics has long prioritized sustainability as a guiding principle. We carefully select materials that balance acoustic performance with environmental responsibility, sourcing from suppliers who share our commitment to reducing waste and carbon impact. Our products use durable, recyclable components that minimize landfill waste while maintaining the highest acoustic standards.

Health & Safety

Health and safety are built into every GIK product. All materials—including fabrics, cores, and wood elements—are formaldehyde-free, low-VOC, and independently tested for indoor air quality. This ensures our treatments are safe for studios, homes, schools, and offices alike. We believe superior acoustics should never come at the expense of well-being, which is why our products are made with clean, non-toxic materials that protect both the people who use them and the spaces where they’re installed.

Care Instructions
Camira Cara Fabric

Vacuum regularly. Wipe with a damp cloth using soap and water or use proprietary upholstery shampoo. For deeper cleaning use bleach or alcohol.

Veneer Finishes

Clean with a soft cloth or soft brush, lightly dampened with kukewarm PH-neutral, soapy water. Do not use solvents or chemical cleaners, but cleaning can be done with alcohol-based cleaners. Finally, wipe with a damp cloth afterward.

Smart Design. Serious Bass Control.

From the trusted performance of Alpha and Impression panels comes the Amplitude Bass Trap Panel—a new standard in low-frequency absorption. With patented recessed faceplates and multiple thickness options, Amplitude tackles problem bass while keeping your space accurate, lively, and visually striking.

Patented Recessed Front Plates

The Amplitude Bass Trap Panel introduces GIK’s patented recessed plate design, a breakthrough that enhances diffusion without compromising absorption. By recessing the decorative faceplate, these panels scatter mids and highs more effectively while still controlling bass frequencies. This dual-action performance creates a natural, balanced sound that’s accurate for mixing and enjoyable for everyday listening—making Amplitude panels a professional-grade solution trusted by studios and audiophiles alike.

Deep Bass Control, Tailored to Your Room

With three thickness options—10cm (absorbs down to 100 Hz), 15cm (down to 80 Hz), and 20cm (down to 60 Hz)—Amplitude panels let you target the exact low-frequency issues in your space. Thicker panels absorb deeper bass, making them ideal for small rooms with modal build-up or home theaters needing tight low-end response. By matching panel depth to your room’s challenges, you get precision control over muddy bass, ensuring clarity across the full frequency spectrum.

Absorption + Diffusion in One Panel

Unlike plain absorbers that can leave a room sounding lifeless, Amplitude panels combine broadband absorption with integrated diffusion. Available in both Alpha slot patterns and Impression cutout designs, they control reflections while preserving energy in the mids and highs. This hybrid approach keeps mixes accurate yet lively—delivering the best of both worlds: the accuracy you need for professional work and the acoustic comfort you want for long sessions.

FAQ

How does Amplitude compare to fabric-only panels?

Fabric-only absorbers treat reflections and bass but can leave rooms sounding too “dead.” Amplitude integrates diffusion, ensuring balanced sound that’s accurate for mixing and enjoyable for listening.

Where should Amplitude panels be placed?

They’re versatile and inherently balanced: you can cover an entire room with them for fantastic results. Use them at first reflection points, on rear walls, or in areas where bass builds up. For complete control, combine them with Corner Bass Traps.

What’s the difference between Alpha and Impression faceplates?

Performance is overall very similar. Alpha plates use mathematically calculated cutout patterns to optimize diffusion performance. Impression plates prioritize visual aesthetics, but still have good scattering performance. Trying to hear differences between the plate patterns will be subtle in most installations.

How do I choose between the 10cm, 15cm, and 20cm panels?

It's mostly a question of bass and space: how good do we need the bass to be, and how much space inside the room can we use to deliver it? For low frequency performance thicker is always better. The 10cm version controls upper bass (down to 100 Hz before it starts to roll off), the 15cm handles deeper modal build-up (down to below 80 Hz), and the 20cm provides maximum bass absorption (down to below 60 Hz).
