Hailing from the UK, Paul grew up in a very musical family and taught himself to play several instruments by ear from an early age. After performing in various bands as a teenager he went on to study music and composition in full time education. Arriving at college hoping to leave as a rock star, he found himself enticed by the world of recording technology and engineering and now much prefers to be behind the desk rather than on the stage. During a successful career as a recording engineer he became obsessed with acoustics and studio design as part of a quest to improve the tracking rooms and listening environments he found himself working in - this lead to him opening up his design services privately and has gone on to design hundreds of studios from the ground up all over the world.
