Performance You Can Trust

Every GIK product is tested at the world-renowned University of Salford, following BS EN ISO 354:2003 standards. This scientific approach not only ensures complete transparency in how our products perform, but also drives our R&D process. So every panel, bass trap, or diffuser we release is engineered to deliver results you can trust.

Product Description

Description

The Classic Bass Trap Panels are premium fabric-wrapped broadband absorbers built for serious low-end control. Available in multiple thicknesses named for the lowest frequencies they target: 100Hz (formerly known as the B4), 80Hz, or 60Hz. The Bass Trap Panels are versatile devices that fully absorb midrange and treble but also helps with bass buildup, standing waves, and room boom with precision. Mounted in corners, along front walls, or ceilings, with a choice of over 20 fabrics, these panels delivers pro-grade bass clarity for studios, home theaters, listening rooms, or anywhere clean low end matters.

Materials
Camira Cara Fabrics

GIK is excited to use the Camira Cara fabric line standard in all our products. The Camira fabric will look familiar to fans of Guilford of Maine fabrics, similar to their FR701 line but with different color options. With a richer aesthetic and tactile feel and wider range of available colors compared to our previous standard offerings, Camira Cara allows every product to look as good as it performs.

Sustainability

GIK Acoustics has long prioritized sustainability as a guiding principle. We carefully select materials that balance acoustic performance with environmental responsibility, sourcing from suppliers who share our commitment to reducing waste and carbon impact. Our products use durable, recyclable components that minimize landfill waste while maintaining the highest acoustic standards.

Health & Safety

Health and safety are built into every GIK product. All materials—including fabrics, cores, and wood elements—are formaldehyde-free, low-VOC, and independently tested for indoor air quality. This ensures our treatments are safe for studios, homes, schools, and offices alike. We believe superior acoustics should never come at the expense of well-being, which is why our products are made with clean, non-toxic materials that protect both the people who use them and the spaces where they’re installed.

Care Instructions
Camira Cara Fabric

Vacuum regularly. Wipe with a damp cloth using soap and water or use proprietary upholstery shampoo. For deeper cleaning use bleach or alcohol.

Veneer Finishes

Clean with a soft cloth or soft brush, lightly dampened with kukewarm PH-neutral, soapy water. Do not use solvents or chemical cleaners, but cleaning can be done with alcohol-based cleaners. Finally, wipe with a damp cloth afterward.

Take the Boom Out of Your Room

Don’t settle for muddy bass hiding your details. The Classic Bass Trap Panel—available in 4″, 6″, or 8″—gives you progressively deeper absorption as you move up in thickness. Designed to hit problematic frequencies, preserve clarity, and let everything else in your mix shine through.

Variable Thickness for Real Bass Control

Choose 4″ for standard environments, 6″ for extended low-mid, or 8″ when you need serious sub-bass control. Each step adds deeper absorption where most traps thin out.

Built Tough, Wrapped in Style

High quality absorbent material for proven GIK performance, fire-rated, and wrapped in acoustically transparent fabrics. With wood side rails, custom fabric choices, and over 20 color options, it’s as much about looks as performance.

Strategic Placement = Maximum Impact

Install in room corners, either front wall/speaker corners or ceiling soffits. Thickness options let you match trap depth to your room size so you get tight bass response without over-damping higher frequencies.

FAQ

What’s the difference between the 4”, 6”, and 8” versions?

The main difference is how low the panel absorbs. The 4″ version effectively tames mid-bass and reduces room boom around ~100 Hz. The 6″ pushes performance down to ~80 Hz, better for larger rooms or more challenging low-end issues. The 8″ version delivers deeper absorption (~60 Hz), great for sub woofers or very bass-heavy content.

Where should I place these panels for best results?

Start with room corners (front and rear) and near speakers—those are where low-freq energy builds up. For 6-8″ traps, ceiling placement or soffits help. Always test your room and move a trap to identify problem spots.

Do thicker traps ruin higher frequencies or clarity?

Not when designed well. Classic Bass Trap Panels maintain acoustic transparency in mids and highs. Thicker traps absorb more low end, but high frequencies still reflect or absorb appropriately based on fabric and placement. The goal is balance, not flattening your room entirely.

Can I customize size and appearance?

Yes. All thickness variants come in standard shapes and custom sizes on request. You also get plenty of fabric color options. Fire-rated safety, mineral wool core, and wood framing ensure performance and aesthetics both meet pro standards.
