Materials
Camira Cara Fabrics

GIK is excited to use the Camira Cara fabric line standard in all our products. The Camira fabric will look familiar to fans of Guilford of Maine fabrics, similar to their FR701 line but with different color options. With a richer aesthetic and tactile feel and wider range of available colors compared to our previous standard offerings, Camira Cara allows every product to look as good as it performs.

Sustainability

GIK Acoustics has long prioritized sustainability as a guiding principle. We carefully select materials that balance acoustic performance with environmental responsibility, sourcing from suppliers who share our commitment to reducing waste and carbon impact. Our products use durable, recyclable components that minimize landfill waste while maintaining the highest acoustic standards.

Health & Safety

Health and safety are built into every GIK product. All materials—including fabrics, cores, and wood elements—are formaldehyde-free, low-VOC, and independently tested for indoor air quality. This ensures our treatments are safe for studios, homes, schools, and offices alike. We believe superior acoustics should never come at the expense of well-being, which is why our products are made with clean, non-toxic materials that protect both the people who use them and the spaces where they’re installed.

Building Blocks of World-Class Sound

Looking to add some extra sound absorption, diffusion, and powerhouse bass trapping that is stackable and moveable with clean lines in your room? Look no further than the Sound Blocks! These are high-performance, versatile devices that can transform any space into a world-class room.

Performance and Flexibility

The Sound Block system delivers ultra high-end performance in a modular, shippable format. Each block is designed to play a precise role in your room’s acoustic strategy, giving you maximum flexibility to build a treatment plan that’s tailored and scalable. By combining blocks in different ways, we can dial in the exact balance of absorption and diffusion needed, all with the convenience of components that ship easily and install cleanly.

Mountable or Stackable

Sound Blocks can be individually mounted on walls or ceilings, or you can arrange them into freestanding stacks 120cm (2 blocks), 180cm (3 blocks), or 240cm (4 blocks) tall. Each block can be configured independently for maximum flexibility.

A Wide Range of Visual Possibilities

Given the modular design, where each Block in the room has its own configuration, you can mix & match fabric colors, plate finishes and patterns, and finished backs to achieve exactly the look for your space.

FAQ

What is the Sound Block system designed for?

Sound Blocks provide maximum performance and flexibility in a modular format. Each block is built to handle a specific acoustic role, whether it’s deep bass absorption, broadband control, or adding diffusion.

How are Sound Blocks installed?

They’re shipped as individual modules that can be easily stacked in freestanding configurations or arranged for wall or ceiling mounting. This makes them simple to place, adjust, and reconfigure without heavy construction or permanent mounting.

Can Sound Blocks be mixed with other GIK products?

Absolutely. They’re designed to integrate seamlessly with panels, bass traps, and diffusors, allowing you to fine-tune your room’s response with a combination of treatments. They match up very well with Soffit Bass Traps in corners.

Who benefits most from using Sound Blocks?

They’re ideal for high-end studios, audiophile listening rooms, and theaters where precision and scalability matter most. If you want the highest performance possible without custom-built construction, Sound Blocks are the solution.
